Oprah’s Christianity Is The Truth - They Are Biblical Principles

Monday, March 31st, 2008

By Darren Meade Beloved - For some months now we’ve been hearing about The Secret. I’ve written to tell you that this wonderful DVD which Oprah brought to world wide view is one of the greatest acts of Love by anyone I’ve seen.Oprah spoke and said how she moved away from such topics because of the anger and misconstrued intentions given by many of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Yet, she brought this opportunity to us all to work with our Father in the field. How many broken hearts and lost souls do you imagine currently are leaving the church each day? When you read in the paper about the little boys and girl who have been raped by the clergy; or those people from 9-11 who lost their loved ones, do you not know that they wander off from The Father’s house into a far away land? In my own life, I had just attended a wonderful youth camp called Young Life. Unbeknownst to me, this was a Christian camp, and I accepted my beloved Brother Christ Jesus and God. When I returned home, within weeks, I was abandoned by my Mother and left homeless.3 years later, I found my biological father and reunited with him. At that time I returned to church. Only a few months later, I was diving in mid-air to knock a pistol out of my fathers hand, of which I was to late and he died. Anger became my best friend, rage filled my heart and I left my Fathers house and wandered. Many of you know of someone or have a more tragic story than my own. Beloved - may I share with you the Bible passage’s known as The Blessing and then I ask you to simply compare them to The Secret on your own. Then I believe you will see what a wonderful gift Oprah has bestowed because we can lovingly bring so many back home. The Bible is the history of The Blessing and its effect on the race of man from the Garden of Eden, when it was the very first words a man ever heard, until Jesus went to the cross so that The Blessing could come on the Gentiles and we might walk in its power today. The intended purpose of The Blessing was to expand the Garden of Eden until it encompassed the entire earth and filled it with the glory of heave and all its goodness. God the Father has never changed. Neither has His purpose and plan changed. Man changed - The Blessing didn’t. It never will. God spoke it forever (Genesis 1:28): 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. If you have seen The Secret - They talk of Laws that exist and a Genie. Remember though what if your son or daughter had been raped at your local church, or after giving your life to Christ, that you lost everything and everyone? If you’ve been raped or lost everything and have found success from The Secret, do you ever consider who created these Laws? How can they work? I’m here to tell you…God! Genesis 1:28 was God’s perfect plan for all men for all time. Jesus was and is The Blessing in action. He was and is the perfect will of God for all men for all time.Is The Blessing (The Secret) alive in the earth today? Yes. For whom? All men? Absolutely yes.Did The Blessing come on Jesus just so He could live in a Garden of Eden? After all, He was the Son of heaven. No. He ministered The Blessing to remove the effects of the curse. He was blessed in order to be a blessing. (Note: We are to judge according to fruits of labors, how many wonderful blessing has Oprah bestowed financially to others. Plus she has given a new set of languaging to engage back our lost and wandering brothers and sisters in a far-away land) Let’s look into that phrase a little deeper. It sounds good but what does it mean? The Blessing was God’s plan for all men, but all men are not blessed. Is it His will to bless them? Yes. Then why doesn’t He do it? He has. {Similar theme to The Secret} Then why are they not walking in it? They are not connected to Him, or they are connected to Him through Jesus and don’t know who they are or what belongs to them. That’s the reason Jesus came - to reconnect man to God. It’s His will to bless the righteous and unrighteous, the just and unjust. Jesus said in Luke 6:35: 35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest; for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.He is kind to the unthankful and to the evil. Now…Let’s look at Luke 6:27-34: 27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, 28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. 29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take they coat. 30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away they good ask them not again. 31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. 32 For if ye love then which love you, what thank have ye? For sinners also love those that love them. 33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thanks have ye? For sinners also do even the same. 34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? For sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. In verses 32, 33 and 34 we see the phrase, “what thank have ye/” That is not just a figure of speech meaning you have no reward. It means just what it says, Thanks from whom? Now that’s a key issue to this whole chapter.Jesus started this lesson on The Blessing in verse 20: 20 And he lifter up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed by ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. The poor are not blessed because they are poor! No! Jesus came to preach the gospel to the poor to remove poverty (Luke 4:18). Once The Blessing is released by faith and the kingdom of God is activated in one’s life, poverty and lack are removed. Why?Look again at verse 33 again - to do good. To whom? To those unthankful and evil ones whom Jesus was speaking. He wants to do good to them. Our Father longs to help them in any way He can, but He has no way to get them unless you and I bless them. That when our Father says thank you.Oh my! Think about that. Almighty God himself saying. “Thank you for being My connection to that person. I want to ‘bless’ them and be kind and merciful to them, but I have no except through you. Thank you for showing them My love.”Beloved - Don’t be deceived into writing angry filled letters or trying to condemn Oprah because she’s using some psychological terms and languaging different from what you’re use too. What if you were born in extreme poverty and unable to read? Perhaps a Genie and others terms from The Secret would be easier to grasp. Thin of all those hurt by the church, they might prefer to hear and read something else than what caused that pain. However - What a Blessing we will be when we can slowly show our Brother and Sisters that what they now believe is all found in that Bible. Thanks be to God for Oprah as she’s opened this door. Beloved write and encourage her, tell her as a Christian you love her and hope that she continues to share The Secret with others. Now look at verse 38, and the whole chapter comes together: 38 Give, and it shall be giving unto you: good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.Oveflow! Now two things are very clear. 1. The Blessing is the perfect will of God for your life. 2. The Blessing has a mission to abundantly reveal the goodness and loving-kindness of our heavenly Father. Oh, how He has been misrepresented in the light of all this. John 3:16 takes on a whole new perspective - for God, who is Love, so loved the world: 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Now let review Luke 6:27-31: 27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you. 28 Bless them that curse you and pray for them which despitefully use you. 29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take they coat also. 30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. 31 And as ye would that man should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. All of those “blessings” in Luke 6 such as in verses 27-31, are seeds that come from a way of living. Jesus was describing the way we should think - all the time. That’s just the way He is, and that’s the way we must become. We must never ever see these verses as the open door to disaster and injury. Nothing could be further from the truth. Living in The Blessing is dwelling in the secret place of the Most High. Protections is a part of The Blessing’s power. That living by faith (note: as also shown in The Secret). We all have the power to bless - to release The Blessing that is on you and in you - reach out in its power to bring Gods love into the lives of millions of people, just as Oprah has done. The Secret is The Blessing using different words and symbols. My personal opinion is that we need to reach out to others in a loving way, and gently let people know why The Blessing is superior to The Secret. There’s a few lessons which the Bible clearly explains which are missing from The Secret. If you truly are a Christian, let’s send Oprah some love and kindness. She is our sister in Christ whose giving us this wonderful gift to have God thank us personally.Love and Gratitude, Darren Meade http://darrenmeade.zaadz.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Darren_Meade http://EzineArticles.com/?Oprahs-Christianity-Is-The-Truth—They-Are-Biblical-Principles&id=514204 suicide ambien overdose memory loss ambien ambien prescriptions ambien women insomnia

Will It Work? Weight Loss Products

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

By Robert Maguire “Amanda lost sixty pounds in just two months!” “Gerald shaved thirteen inches in three weeks!” “Get the body you’ve been dreaming of by calling this toll free number!” Who hasn’t been bombarded with advertisements such as these? With incredible results, it is actually quite tempting to order some of these magic formulas from the operators standing by, just waiting for your call. But do these things actually work? Why aren’t any of them evaluated or approved by the FDA? And why are all of these miracles sold exclusively on TV, and not in stores? Let’s face it, weight loss products such as those touted on late night television and in the back of fashion magazines usually come qualified with an attached statement to the effect of “these results are not normal.” And why are these results so far from the norm? Because these weight loss products are not magic pills or drinks; they are intended for use as supplements to a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet and regular exercise. So if your plan to lose the extra bulk by popping fat-capturing tablets every two hours is on the road to nowhere, think about the other changes you have or have not made to your lifestyle. This should be fairly obvious to anyone with common sense. If there were really a concoction that would melt off the fat, wouldn’t everyone be thin? Everyone is not thin, so therefore there must be more to these weight loss products’ success than just remembering to take them. Supplements that can be taken are intended to do just what their name implies - supplement and reinforce the other efforts you are undertaking. Certainly, there are products that will allow you to drop some weight fairly quickly, but they will have to be incorporated as a mainstay of your diet or else you will simply regain what you’ve lost once you stop taking them. Deciding to change the look and performance of your body through weight reduction is a commendable act. But do not rely solely on weight loss products for the changes to manifest. There must be some personal responsibility and resolve to truly make a difference. The people pictured in those advertisements? You can be certain they have made other changes to their lives beyond the addition of that particular weight loss product. So develop a balanced menu from which to choose your snacks and meals, set up an exercise regime, and add weight loss products to the mix, and you too may end up as one of the astonishing weight loss stories. ======================================= Robert Maguire lives in Dracut, Massachusetts with his wonderful wife Donna. Pain & Injury Management - Understanding Your Symptoms

Monday, March 24th, 2008

By Sally S Jacobs Many people struggle to understand their injuries or know who to turn to for help. The purpose of this article is to help you differentiate between various types of injuries and the different types of treatments available. Chronic verses Acute Injuries Chronic Injuries can be defined as persistent injuries with an insidious onset. The injury develops over time and is a result of a range of factors which include our postural habits, the physical stresses we place on our bodies, nutrition, hydration and stress. The human body is not designed remain in the same posture for several hours a day. Doing so will create imbalances in muscle function and altered posture, which in turn increase stress on joints and other tissues, leading to pain and dysfunction. Examples include chronic musculo skeletal pain, tendonitis, bursitis and Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI). We often fail to seek treatment until the odd twinge or recurring injury become regular fixtures in our lives. The longer the injury exists, the longer it will take to resolve, so taking action early can save a lot of pain, frustration and money. Acute Injuries arise out physical trauma, they include fractures, dislocations, open wounds etc. The coverage of these injuries in this article will be limited as they all require the same treatment protocol, being first aid, and depending on the injury may require medical attention followed by physiotherapy. Symptoms indicate which tissue is involved, it can be one or all of those listed, in varying degrees of severity, and more than one tissue may be involved. Nerve impingement: Nerve impingement refers to pressure placed on a nerve or nerve root by surrounding tissue, which may be bone, disc, muscle or fascia. Hernias and tumours can also increase pressure on nerves. Symptoms include numbness, tingling, pins and needles, weakness, and sometimes a degree of loss of control of an affected limb. It is for example, impingement of the sciatic nerve that leads to a temporary numbness in the buttocks, legs and feet, caused by muscles tightening around the nerve. This is often caused by sitting in an unnatural position for some time. Stretching the gluteal muscles and sports/remedial massage can help prevent and relieve these symptoms, however, if the symptoms persist after the activity which caused them has ceased, or they recur frequently, then medical advice should be sought. Your doctor may then recommend that you see an Osteopath, Chiropractor or Physiotherapist. Numbness in peripheral areas such as fingers or toes, or around the mouth can also be indicative of a viral inflammation or a metabolic disorder and should be discussed with your doctor. Nerve impingement is often neglected as the symptoms are not severe enough to prompt action, yet it can be a precursor to nerve inflammation, a very painful and serious condition. Nerve inflammation An impinged nerve can become inflamed. The inflammation further increases pressure on the affected nerve and causes its dysfunction. This is symptomised by sudden sharp shooting or stabbing pain, which follows the nerve pathway, therefore it tends to radiate from an epicentre to another part of the body e.g. along a limb. It can cause muscle spasms and reduced function in the affected limb. In both nerve impingement and inflammation, the symptoms can occur with or without movement but are often worsened by specific positions. Sciatica for example, is inflammation of the sciatic nerve and causes pain down the side and back of the leg, the inner thigh and into the foot. Viral infections such as Shingles also cause nerve inflammation.Nerve inflammation can be excruciating. You should seek medical advice as soon as possible as permanent nerve damage can result if the cause is untreated. Muscle spasms and strains In the absence of an impact or accident, very few musculo skeletal injuries are “sudden” They occur as a result of long term muscle tension, often brought about by remaining in one position for several hours a day i.e. sitting at a computer. A wry neck (torticollis) is an excellent example, where a normal neck movement can result in agonising pain and restricted movement. When muscles remain in a state of prolonged contraction, blood flow through the tissue is restricted, thus reducing the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the muscle and impeding the removal of metabolic wastes. Surrounding connective tissues and the nerves which run through the muscle are also affected; adhesions form in the myofascia - the slippery gel like connective tissue that is integral to the muscle tissue. The fascia not only provides the tensile strength of the muscle, but also acts as a lubricating surface to facilitate the smooth glide of muscles and other tissues over each other. Adhesions in the fascia account for many of the postural changes which occur in our bodies, and a significant amount of pain in musculo skeletal injury. Pain can refer through the fascia, resulting in a variety of symptoms from sharp jabbing pain on movement to burning and tingling. The latter is a result of nerve sensitisation caused by the fascia and or muscle impinging on the nerve endings, and a build up of metabolic wastes in the tissue. Trig points form in the muscle, areas of hyper reflexivity in which dysfunctional nerve function will cause muscles to spasm, and shorten, thus reducing the normal range of motion. Any attempt to lengthen the muscle or achieve normal range of motion will evoke a “stretch reflex” which leads to increased spasm and pain. In this state the muscle is highly susceptible to injury through sudden movements or loads, and stretching should be avoided. Before you get to the stage where you are experiencing the symptoms above, you will receive plenty of clues that all is not well. Over a period of time you will experience dull muscular aches, stiffness and muscle fatigue that is likely to be worse in the morning due to the build up of toxins overnight. Pain tends to dissipate as activity increases. These are signs that you need take action! At this stage applying heat to the area and remedial massage can restore normal function and prevent injury. If you choose to leave it until you are unable to move without significant pain then you will need a longer course of intensive treatment. Regular massage and preventative exercises such as Yoga and Pilates can increase your performance and prevent injury. Care should be taken if you have an injury - dont forget most muscle injuries are overstretch injuries so seek advise from a sports massage therapist or physio before taking up new activities. Acute muscle injury If redness, swelling, turgidity or bruising are present as well as loss of or reduced function, massage and heat are contra indicated and can cause further damage. It is unlikely these will occur without some form of trauma, so the principles of acute injury management apply: first aid and see either a doctor or physiotherapist. Tendon injuries (strains) Tendons are the inelastic ends of the muscle which attach muscle to bone. A torn tendon will usually result in spasm of the muscle with corresponding pain and reduced function of the muscle and joint. The symptoms usually occur at the time of the trauma, and as with any acute injury will worsen as the inflammation set in. The tendon may be tender to touch, and there may be some swelling. It is important to see a doctor or physio therapist for early treatment as you risk a permanent reduction or loss of function without judicial treatment. IMPORTANT - DO NOT STRETCH THE MUSCLE IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SYMPTOMS ARE PRESENT. SEEK TREATMENT. One of the problems arising out of tendon injuries, long after the pain has gone, is a perceived weakness. You may have badly sprained an ankle and found thereafter, that you roll the ankle for no good reason i.e. on perfectly flat ground. The likely cause of this is damage to the proprioceptors in the tendon which relay spatial information pertaining to the limb, to the brain, When these receptors are damaged, the brain doesnt know where your foot is in space, so that you may be putting your foot down on its side rather than the sole, hence you keep rolling your ankle. Special exercises are required to re-program the proprioceptor cells to prevent the injury recurring over and over again. A physiotherapist will be able to provide this information. Tendonitis is inflammation of the tendon which usually arises out of excess friction of the tendon due to poor biomechanical function. This in turn may cause impingement of the tendon as is common in rotator cuff injuries of the shoulder. Pain and stiffness occurs on movement and there is usually restricted range of motion due to the pain. The tendon can feel tender or bruised to touch, and as with most inflammatory conditions, pain is worse after rest. This injury requires immediate attention, it will not self resolve. Stop any activity which exacerbates the pain and see a physiotherapist. They may refer you to a sports massage therapist for adjunctive treatment. Acupuncture can also be effective in treating tendonitis, but you should have the problem diagnosed by a doctor or physiotherapist. Tenosynovitis is inflammation of the tendon sheath, occurring with or without tendonitis. The symptoms are similar to those of tendonitis, though the pain can be over a greater area. Again, seek immediate treatment from a physiotherapist. Massage is not usually appropriate. Acupuncture may be of benefit. Bursitis Bursa are fluid filled sacs which lie between tendons and bone and protect the tendon from excess friction between the tendon and bone. They are found around most joints. Bursitis is inflammation of the bursa due either to an impact or excess friction from a tendon. Pain occurs when pressure is placed on the bursa, from lying or leaning on it, or on movement as the tendon rubs on it. If the tendon and muscle are tight enough to result in bursitis, then the underlying cause is almost certainly a significant biomechanical discrepancy, and it is likely that you are experiencing muscular and joint pain in other areas. The treatment may well require a multi disciplinary approach involving a combination of physiotherapy or osteopathy, massage and possibly a podiatrist if the lower limb is affected. Rehabilitation is usually a lengthy process as the body has to go through a number of biomechanical changes for healing to occur. This problem will not self resolve. Ligament and Joint Injury (sprain) Ligaments attach bone to bone and provide stability of the joints. If the joint is overstretched ligament and cartilage may be damaged, and the joint may be misaligned. Sprains are painful on movement or weight bearing on the joint, and because of inflammation are likely to cause discomfort at rest. Often it is difficult to find a comfortable position. The pain is sharp and usually localised to the joint and corresponding muscles. The joint will feel weak and unstable. See a physiotherapist as you will need specific exercises to restrengthen the area as part of the treatment protocol. Ligament injuries are slow to heal and the resultant joint instability can give rise to other compensatory problems, for example a weak knee can lead to hip, back and neck problems. Massage as an adjunct to physiotherapy or any of the above modalities will hasten your recovery and help in preventing the development of secondary problems. If the joint can not be realigned through soft tissue therapy, then manipulation may be suggested. This should only be attempted by a fully qualified osteopath, chiropractor or physiotherapist. Do not let anyone else manipulate your joints, ever! It could lead to a stroke or permanent disability! To sum up, If pain persists or continues to worsen beyond 3 days, If you have an injury that recurs every few weeks or months, If you experience any symptoms mentioned above on a regular basis, and they move around your body, seek advice If in doubt see your doctor for advice on whom to go to for treatment. They will normally recommend physiotherapy or massage, other options include chiropractic and osteopathic therapy. Sally Jacobs is a Sports and Remedial therapist living in Sydney. How Knitting Wool Is Created

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

By Mayoor Patel Knitting wool is created by first shearing the wool off the animal. There are different types of wool including lambs wool, sheep wool, alpaca wool, and llama wool. Shearing means that the animals hair is shaved back and collected to use for clothing, towels, and other cloth items. Shearing does not hurt the animals and in very hot regions it has to be done to keep the animal from overheating. This is where using the hair from animals was first considered. Once the hair is removed it must be washed before it can be spun. Before the days of running water, people would fill porous bags with hair and put the bags into rivers or creeks to get out all of the dirt and other particles that were left behind. This process is similar today except that some people use their washing machines. The hair is washed in very hot water two or three times and then dried. Fine or dirty hairs are taken out. Wool hairs can be purchased in most craft stores or bought from farms. The hair is not yet knitting wool. After the hair has dried, it will need to be spun. Some people use spinners which consist of a big wheel that is fed the hair. Spinning is what creates the knitting wool. Hairs are spun together to form a tight yarn. This yarn can then be used to knit. If a person cannot fit a spinning wheel into their home, smaller hand spinning wheels can be used. These are traditional spinning wheels that are two or three inches wide. Spinning the wheel that is attached to a stick and adding hair will begin to create the knitting wool. This can be a laborious process, but one that will be worth it. After the knitting wool has been spun, people will begin to knit, which is another process by which yarn is interwoven to create clothing and other fabrics that people use everyday. Traditional knitting can take weeks or months to finish one or two items. Wool sweaters, blankets, shirts, and other clothing made from wool will last a long time because the wool is very strong material. Knitting wool is a renewable resource. Many people will combine different kinds of wool to create blends that may feel a little softer. These blends are also used to create different patterns. Dying the wool allows for more color choices. Home Entertainment for Emotional Support

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

By Kim LaBarbera When someone you care about is experiencing serious stress in their life, you need to throw them an M.W.A. Day Party. What is this you ask? Well, it stands for “Man, what a day!” It works for divorce, firings, breakups, breakdowns, depression or basic irritation. This is how it works. Use solid colored napkins for the guests, nothing flashy bland is better; beige for instance. The guest of honor should have a setting that stands out, fuchsia works great, or something to that effect. This keeps the focus on them and helps the party stay on course. A paper centerpiece should be present on the table, (Something that people can write on!) After a fair amount of coffee and dessert, one guest at a time will write a few appropriate words on the centerpiece concerning some of their tough spots, just enough to remind your forlorn friend that they are not alone, that others have problems too… It’s like the old saying; “Misery loves company”, it works every time. At the end of the evening, the guest of honor takes the centerpiece home with the knowledge that they are not alone in their troubles. They have indisputable proof. The trick is, to carry the paper around during the coming days. The emotional cane adds the necessary support. Seating For A Wedding Ceremony

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

By Tomkin Coleman Seating Guests used to be easy - one just followed the rules and everything went smoothly. But what if you have chosen a park for your wedding? Or how should a couple seat their parents if they are divorced? How should one seat Guests for interfaith weddings? Even if your wedding is in a park or some other non-traditional spot, you may still want to have an aisle and a processional. If so, then that structure is enough to have a front “row” for honored Guests, such as your parents. Traditionally, the front row is reserved for immediate family (parents and siblings). The Mother of the Bride and the Mother of the Groom get to sit on the aisle. If the parents are divorced, usually the Father will sit in the second row, on the aisle, with the Grandparents. Readers and singers should be seated next to the aisle so they will be able to get up without disturbing anyone else. Traditionally, in a Christian ceremony the Bride’s side is on the left and the Groom’s side is on the right (when one is looking at the altar). The way to remember this rule is by thinking of the old joke, “This is the last time the Groom is right”. In a Jewish ceremony, the sides are reversed, and so in an interfaith ceremony couples often choose to let Guests sit wherever they wish. Ushers usually hand out programs, and if a single woman arrives without a partner, one of the Ushers escorts her to a seat. Usually single men are selected as Ushers for this very reason. If there is an aisle runner, the Ushers unroll it from the altar to the entrance, just before the Wedding Party enter. The last Guests to be seated are the Grandparents, then the Parents. The order alternates, with the Groom’s side first. So, if just the parents were seated, the Father and Mother of the Groom would go first, then the Mother of the Bride with an Usher. In Jewish ceremonies, the Groom ushers in his parents, and many modern wedding ceremonies, even those that aren’t Jewish, have started using that tradition, as well. It’s worth actually practicing the seating of the Parents during the wedding rehearsal, so everyone is comfortable and confident about what to do on the day of the wedding! Herbal Medicines: Are Doctors Aware of Patients’ Usage?

Monday, March 17th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Ma._Roma_Agsalud] Ma. Roma Agsalud In a recent study made by a group of medical practitioners in health clinics in the United States, it was noted that there is a higher rate of herb usage by the new Hispanic immigrants than those US-born Hispanics. This could be attributed to the fact that those who come from rural areas are deeply rooted by their traditional beliefs and values than those born in the U.S. who are far more adaptable and communicable. The survey was conducted in order to determine whether these Hispanics inform their physicians about their herb use; or are the doctors aware of this usage. It was found out that 70% of patients did not disclose their use of herbal medicines and only 15% indicated that they would inform their doctors about it. Please take note, however, that this study may not actually show the real sentiments of the respondents. There are some limiting factors to consider when this study conducted, such as the venue of the survey which were held in health clinics only, the inability of the respondents to answer all parts of the questionnaire, and the fear that they will not be supported by their physicians should they found out about their usage of herbal medicines. One of the reasons why patients chose not to tell their doctors about their herb use because they feel that the physician show disinterest or respond to it negatively. They also believe that the physician will find it irrelevant to the medication they will be treated into. The respondents fear that they will be ridiculed about it, so they would rather not tell them of their herb use. Some respondents believe most prescribed medications would be more effective in treating their illnesses if they combine them with herbal medicines. They consider it more advantageous if they communicate with their doctors about the usage and acceptance. In order to make this study a relevant undertaking, it is therefore recommended that doctors must learn to understand the expanse of herbal medicine usages by their patients and try to get specific knowledge from them. It is important for them to encourage their patients to be more open about their herb use. On the other hand, pharmacists should join hand in hand with the doctors and patients alike in striving to properly assess the herbal medicines and conduct a study of its effects on the patients medication along with the prescribed medicines. It is more beneficial for everyone to be aware of known potential herb-drug interactions to adequately treat patients. Any hostile effects of the herbal medicines on the patients must be reported immediately to the Food and Drug Administration Medwatch system. All doctors and medical care practitioners should be bear in mind that it is their obligation to get information on herbal use of their patients. This is best done during preliminary consultation with their patients and in so doing, both will be more educated about the safe and effective use of [http://www.primeherbal.com/anti_aging ] herbal medicines. Will Gary Kubiak Be Scared When He Interviews For The Texans?

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

By Joel Vance Everyone gets nervous and scared when it is time to go for a job interview. If you are one of these millions of people there is no reason to feel bad or ashamed. If you know someone who tells you that they are not fazed a bit, just remember that they are full of crap. Everyone is affected by interviews; some more than others. I am willing to bet a significant amount of money that even Gary Kubiak of the Broncos is going to be shakin’ in his boots when it comes time to meet with Texans owner Bob McNair. He is a formidable guy and I am sure that he will put Kubiak through the ringer when interviewing him as a replacement for Dom Capers. I am also willing to bet that Gary Kubiak will be prepared for the ringing and will stand up like a pro. You too can learn to stand up like a pro. All it takes is a little know how. Learn some of the best interviewing secrets and you will be well on your way to scoring that dream job. With a little research and a lot of trying you too can score the big one like it looks Gary Kubiak is going to do with the Texans. The first thing that you need to remember when going on any interview is to show no fear. It does not matter how you really feel inside. All that matters is what other people can see. If the interviewer sees that you feel uncertain or you are not confident they will have no option but to assume this is because you do not really know how to do the job. Stuttering and stammering never got anyone the job and you need to work on keeping these nervous signs to a minimum. For some people the only way to learn how to interview and to get over these fears is to interview over and over again. That is fine, as long as you can pay your bills in the meantime. But the goal of this article is to help you get the job in the first few interviews, not the first few hundred. You can do it! All you need is a little determination, and when you feel yourself start to falter just remember Gary Kubiak and the Texans interview. If he can hold up in his situation so can you. If you believe in yourself that it will be evident to the interviewer, and that will also impress the heck out of anyone who is interviewing you for a position at their company. One of the best interviewing tips that I have ever come across is not something that you will do when in the actual interview. It is something that you should do well before the interview. Visualize. Visualization has gotten me and many other people through numerous tough spots in life. What you do is go through the entire interviewing process in your mind. The whole thing; from when you get up that morning, to the drive in to when you hear your name called and before. Try to visualize the questions you will be asked and imagine yourself answering easily and smoothly. Don’t just do this visualization exercise once, do it over and over again. At first you might even feel yourself getting nervous imagining the interview but the more you do it, the easier it will become. Pretty soon that interview will seem like a piece of cake. By the time the real interview day rolls around you will be full of confidence and faith in yourself and your ability to handle the situation. This kind of confidence is sure to impress your would be boss and it might even be what wins you the job position. Who knows, that may even be the secret to Gary Kubiak and his interviewing strategy. Try it and you will see the truth in what I am talking about. It is easy and simple. Just try it before bed tonight and see how powerful visualization can really be as an interviewing tool.
