Job Change Alert: Make Rapid Turnover Work For You

Monday, December 31st, 2007

By Paul Megan Employers are learning the hard way! More and more organizations are acknowledging a critical fact . . . Finding ways to retain valuable employees must begin before an experienced and talented worker is entertaining an offer from someone else. And things arent getting any easier for employers. A recent Harris and Associates survey shows that more than 50 percent of workers expect to change jobs within the next five years! Furthermore, rapid staff turnover is expected to escalate. That means that just when companies are devoting more time to finding new talent, they have to find ways to encourage current employees to stay. Managers can no longer afford to take for granted the steady, productive employee who is a good, if unrecognized quality performer. Sadly, they have been provided very little by way of mentoring or appreciation. So, managers are contributing, often unwittingly, to the turnover. The good news is that, if you are considering a job or career change you can make this dynamic work in your favor in two ways: 1. If 50% of your fellow employees are contemplating a job or career change in the next five years, so are 50% in other organizations. This spells opportunity for you. 2. You have added leverage to upgrade your job status both within your own organization as well as in a prospective new work environment. The secret to using these changes effectively is to always know what your options are. For example, you can stay on top of the ever-changing job marketplace with RSS! How a Low-Cost Marketing Mindset Can Result in a World Record - and Mega Free Publicity

Sunday, December 30th, 2007

By Darrell Berg-Smith Whats the difference, in marketing effort, to achieve a World Record, compared to getting just a mediocre result?? Almost nothing!! Well in some cases it can be anyway. I have a good friend, David. He is an extraordinary marketer. He is currently Marketing Manager at a large shopping mall. Recently, there was the annual fundraising campaign by the Leukemia Foundation, called “The World’s Greatest Shave For a Cure”. This event is where people are sponsored to shave their heads or color their hair to raise funds for Leukemia Research and patient support. Last year they raised over $8,500,000, with 50,000 participants. This year their aim is $10,000,000. So when David received a call asking him to host an event, he immediately thought: “Lets go for the World Record.” What? They just wanted you to help raise some money, David!! Nope! He wants to break the world record for the highest number of haircuts in a 4-hour period. It currently stands at 228. So he needed at least 230 or more. Well . you see it takes quite a bit of organizing to host a fundraising event like this. And if you are going to do that, he figured that it is probably not a real lot more effort to break the world record at the same time. However, the big, big, big, big, difference is the publicity. Big time. And what are the 2 magic words? That’s right, FREE! . Free publicity, and FUN. Lots of Fun! David and his staff, while working very hard, had soooooooo much fun putting this together. So off he goes, with the help of some extraordinary staff, and together they get everything organized with The Guinness Book Of World Records, with whom they had never dealt before. And the outcome? Well, David had some pretty optimistic expectations, but it would be accurate to say that they were not realized! They were so far exceeded that it was almost unbelievable. For many days after the event, David had retailers apologizing to him for not coming to support the event on the day. “We couldn’t get away”, they would tell him. “It was the biggest trading Saturday, outside of Christmas, that we have ever had”. One retailer, Mister Minute, told him that he did about 250% of his previous best Saturday. Incredible!!! Even the largest supermarket Woolworths, had every checkout open and about 5 people waiting in each line, just before they were due to close. Another children’s Clothing retail chain, Pumpkin Patch, a business already under excellent management, reported that they topped the days turnover figures, of all stores in the state of Queensland, for the first time ever. The results for this brilliant marketing initiative were outstanding. David and his staff are heroes to the retailers, mall owners, customers, The Leukemia Foundation, and of course, its beneficiaries. And so what was the outcome for the World Record? Two hundred and thirty two (232)! That’s an official world record. It took some time to have the results verified by The Guinness Book of World Records. They have to do many things, including viewing the full four hour video of the event, and reports of the judges. The official result was just released. (I think David wanted it to be unsuccessful, so that he could do it all over again!) But irrespective of the official outcome, a world record or not, the marketing result is exactly the same. Everybody wins, all because of a split second decision. There were hundreds of similar shopping malls all over the country that participated in the same fundraising effort in a similar way. Why didn’t they think of going for the world record and getting a phenomenal result like David? Maybe they were too busy trying to get more business into their center! A little like the woodchopper who is struggling with a blunt axe. Asked why he doesn’t stop to sharpen the blade, he responds: “Are you stupid, I have got too much wood to chop, I don’t have time!! And the free publicity that was achieved 2 mentions in a Metro magazine, 6 articles/photos in the local press with the editor dedicating his entire column one week to the event, some extensive radio interviews, and to top it off a full page write up in the Sunday Mail, the city’s leading paper. All up the advertising placement value was approx $30,000, which means a PR value of $150,000? Well done David, and the staff that worked with you, we salute you all. What can you do with just a little extra effort that makes a gigantic difference to your business and your clients? Toxins Make You Fat and Shorten Your Life

Sunday, December 30th, 2007

By Rudy Silva When your body is toxic, toxins hide and embed themselves in your body fat. This causes your cells and organs to become sluggish and lose efficiency. The fatter you are, the more toxins you can store. As your organs and body systems lose their ability to function properly, they lose their ability to metabolize and process fat effectively. This is one reason why some of you find it difficult to lose weight - your body is not functioning properly. When you start to lose weight, this causes fat to be used up in your cells as energy and causes toxins to be released into your blood stream. If you lose weight to fast, you will have excess toxins released into your blood and this creates a variety of unhealthy symptoms and conditions - headaches, mucus, flu like symptoms, joint pains. Excessive toxins in your blood can remain there for over a year and cause you harm and that is why you need to lose weight slowly like 2 lbs a week. What are toxins and where do toxins really come from? They come from * The food you eat * The meat you eat * The vegetables you eat * The air you breathe * The thoughts you have * The activities you have Toxins are chemicals that the liver does not recognize as useful for the body. These toxins are destructive to your body cells and other body tissues. Toxins attack and destroy cell outer and inter wall surfaces. They destroy inter cell and gene structures. They create an acid body that attracts fungus, bacteria, parasites, worms, viruses, and many other pathogens. Why doesnt the body get rid of toxins through its 5 elimination channels the colon, the kidney, the skin, the lungs, and the lymphatic system? It definite does but as you get older the body becomes over whelmed with toxins and is unable to eliminate them completely through your elimination channels or neutralize them through your lymphatic system. So what does the body do with all of these toxins? It stores them in your body cells and fat cells and anywhere there is weakness in your body. It stores toxins in weak parts of your body because that part of your body will not repel the them as easily as does the healthy part of your body. This makes this weak part even weaker and eventually becomes a diseased area or a cyst. If this diseased area is allowed to exist too long, it becomes difficult to repair and to bring it back into good health. When the five elimination channels can no longer push toxins out of your body, they themselves start to get clogged. Toxins, minerals, fibrin, and other body debris combine to form layer up layer of material that causes narrowing of elimination tracts. Eventually, illness result in many of the diseases you know. How do you unclog your polluted body so that you can create good health? There are four basic step to take. * stop putting junk food into your body (Changing your Eating Habits) * clean out the toxins in your body (Cleansing) * neutralize the toxins in your body. (Detoxification) * put good pure foods into your body (Rebuilding) Rudy Silva is a natural nutritionist. He writes a newsletter called Natural Remedies That work. Cash Loans Online

Friday, December 28th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Attila_Jancsina]Attila Jancsina Applying for quick cash loans online is the best way to get emergency cash fast and easily. Many of are type of cash loans are also called payday loans. You can find these online and be able to apply one day and have the cash deposited into your account the very next day, upon approval. Before you jump on your computer and apply to the first one you find you should first begin by getting all of your information together. You will need employment information including how to contact your employer, a recent bank statement or a recent check stub. You will also need to contact your bank and get your routing number, if you do not know how to find this out on your personal checks. When you fill out the application they will not ask for the routing number, but before the money is deposited into your account the lending company will have to have the routing number. Most lending companies today that offer [http://www.payday-loan-master.com]cash loans can give you what is called instant approval in around five minutes. All you need to do is fill out your contact information and your income history. These types of loans are not based on any type of credit history or any other financial factors. After, the lending company has verified your income; you will receive your approval notice and the instructions to complete the process for receiving your cash loan. Normally, these cash loans are made for $500 up to $1000. The cash loan will be deposited into your bank account through direct deposit usually overnight. Student Loan Consolidation Guide 101

Thursday, December 27th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Mansi_Aggarwal]Mansi Aggarwal The constantly escalating fees as well as the competition in the field of higher education have made the life of a student burdened by debt. Most of the students are financially not capable of bearing the enormous expenses of their college life and as a result of this they have to acquire numerous loans, such as, education loan, credit card loan etc. These loans definitely help them for a while but when the time to pay them back arrives they can become a real nuisance for these students. Their numerous monthly installments and high interest rates can make many students lose their sleep and get distracted from their career path. All these problems and more can be avoided if the help of a Student Loan Consolidation is secured. The basic idea behind the Student Loan Consolidation is of restructuring the finances of those students who have over their student life accumulated numerous loans and are now finding it difficult to pay them back. It helps them by combining all their previous loans under a single head. A consolidated loan is beneficial for students as compared to various small loans because of various reasons. By consolidating all the loans a student ensures that he has to pay towards a single loan each month. Thus, he becomes answerable to only one creditor which is a very mentally satisfying factor for him. Moreover, he saves his time and effort as it is much easier to handle one payment monthly than several separate payments. Thus, after opting for a student loan consolidation, students can concentrate more on their studies and career rather than thinking about loans. Secondly, a consolidated student loan carries a lower interest rate than the various other student loans. Moreover when a student opts for a consolidated loan he has to pay only one interest rate, not several different rates. Also, a consolidated loan offers more flexible repayment options than the other loans. This type of loan is also generally free of any kind of prepayment penalty. Another plus point of Student Loan Consolidation is its easy availability. These services can be easily obtained both online and offline. Moreover, the companies offering these services dont perform extensive credit checks. Also, no collaterals are asked for taking this loan. Some companies even offer rate reductions. For instance, some of them reduce the interest rate by 1% if a student makes all his payments on time for two years. Thus, before opting for a student loan consolidation a student should do his homework and carry out a survey of what all the companies are offering him, to get the best deal. Hence, Student Loan Consolidation is beneficial for the students in all senses. So, if a student has accumulated loans in excess of $7500, the best way to manage them is by consolidating them. This would free up the cash flow with reduced monthly payments and allow the students to concentrate on their career by being satisfied both financially and psychologically. Winning Your Disability Case in Three Words… Frequency, Severity, and Duration

Monday, December 24th, 2007

By Scott E. Davis In a disability case, almost any symptom or limitation can be disabling; but to determine whether they preclude work, the relevant questions are how frequent, how severe, and how long do they last? A critical point I make to people who contact me everyday is that their disability case is won or lost based on symptoms/limitations and not on their diagnosis! Clearly, under federal law, a disability claimant has to have a legitimately diagnosed physical and/or psychological disorder to even allege disability, but this is only the beginning of the analysis. Disability cases are almost always won or lost based on the quality (documentation) of your medical records and the subsequent opinions rendered by your treating physicians regarding your ability to sustain full-time employment. The documentation of symptoms and limitations in your medical records is critical as it provides tremendous credibility to and an understanding as to why your doctors have concluded you are unable to work. Once a diagnosis is established, the disability inquiry immediately shifts to why you are unable to work due to the symptoms and limitations that result from the diagnosis. I tell my clients that of the total time spent in a disability hearing before a federal judge, 5% is spent on the diagnosis and 95% is spent determining the frequency, severity and duration of symptoms and limitations, and whether they prevent all work. Ignoring this fact places the success of your claim in great perildont ever forget this! A common problem disability claimants frequently make is having tunnel vision and focusing solely on their diagnosis, as if the fact they have been diagnosed with a disorder automatically confirms they are disabled and entitled to benefits. This is especially true of people suffering from chronic pain and fatigue disorders such as fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. I believe this is true because these folks have almost universally been sent on an odyssey by the medical community, simply to obtain a diagnosis. Never forget that obtaining a physical and/or psychological diagnosis is the very beginning, and not the end of your disability case. Thus, the question becomes, How do I document the frequency, severity and duration of my symptoms and limitations? Tip #1: What should I be Documenting?Simply put, whatever it is that prevents you from working. For example, lets use chronic pain and fatigue. It is critical you distinguish why the pain and fatigue is different from what an average person may experience. If I say I am in pain and fatigued, that does not tell you much. Why? From time to time we all experience some degree of pain and/or fatigue. But if you tell your doctor I am unable to function as I experience severe daily pain and exhausting fatigue lasting most of the day without relief, or I am unable to function 2 days per week due to migraine headaches that last all day even with medication, now youve given the doctor and a judge an idea of why your symptoms are so debilitating. Tip #2: Obtain a Copy of your Medical Records from your Treating Physicians After you have followed Tip #1, the next question becomes, Did the doctor write down what I just told him/her? I am often surprised at how many people applying for disability benefits have never seen their medical records. Obtaining a copy of your current treating physicians records is important because it will give you an idea of whether your symptoms and limitations are being recorded. You may be surprised to find that your complaints do not appear in the records or if they do, the doctors notes are totally illegible! Illegible handwriting is a real problem, because judges who decide your claim are just like you and I, they dont (and generally wont) try too hard to decipher what the notes say. If you are not satisfied with the documentation, address the issue tactfully with your doctor and explain the importance of documentation to your disability case. If they are receptive, I suggest you give them a copy of this article for reference. Tip #3: Keep A Short Diary of Your Symptoms and Limitations before your next Visit to the Doctor Whether you know it or not, your daily lives tell a compelling story about your inability to work. But how do you remember the frequency, severity and duration of your symptoms especially if you cant spell your name at times! I advise clients to keep a short and simple diary one week before their next visit with their doctor. For simplicity sake, the entries should short and not detailed (otherwise you will not do it). On a day when you were unable to get out of bed due to pain or fatigue, document it. Or document when you slept for only three hours the night before and then took a couple of naps the next day. Or document the migraine headache that lasted for two days in spite of medication. Then, on your next doctor visit, when he/she asks How are you doing? you will have a laundry list of symptoms and limitations rather than giving them a blank stare! Of course, winning your disability case is more complicated than this article has the time for; however, following these tips will significantly increase your odds of winning. Scott E. Davis is a social security disability attorney in Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Davis represents clients throughout the United States. Although Mr. Davis has experience representing clients with a broad spectrum of physical and/or psychological disorders, the majority of his disability practice is devoted to representing individuals with chronic pain and chronic fatigue disorders. Bad Credit Personal Loan: Avail It With Bad Credit and Use It for Any Purpose

Monday, December 24th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Alen_Wilson]Alen Wilson You are in search of a loan, which can be used for any personal purpose, and can be availed despite your poor credit record too. If this is what your condition, then you can take a bad credit personal loan. A bad credit personal loan can be used for any of your personal need. Also you can avail it even if you have a poor credit record. Factors like CCJs, bankruptcy, arrear, default, missed payments etc. will not be an obstacle for getting approval for a bad credit personal loan. If you want to avail bad credit personal loan in a smooth manner with favourable terms and conditions then you have to offer security for the loan. Your house can work as collateral if it has necessary equity available in it. Offering your home as collateral you eliminate the risk of the borrower. He has the guarantee to recover the loan even if you fail to pay off. As a result a bad credit personal loan secured against your home offers you low rate, big borrowable amount, small repayment installments and a long loan period. However, you have the risk of losing your home unless you return the loan. This risk can be avoided if you take a bad credit unsecured personal loan. For this loan you will not require offering collateral. So there is no risk of losing your home. This loan has other benefits like simplified processing and a quicker money lending. But you may be charged a comparatively high interest for this loan. No matter which kind of bad credit personal loan you take you can use it for any of your personal need. However, it is necessary to use this loan carefully to avoid failure; otherwise your credit record will go from bad to worse. What Is Dieting? How Should Your Diet Plan Compliment Your Weight Loss Plan?

Saturday, December 22nd, 2007

By Javier Fuller Dieting means following a pre-designed pattern of food intake in order to attain certain specific short-term goals. Dieting must not be confused with a more basic and thorough concept of diet regulation whereby one tries to shape one’s general habit of nutritional intake so as to derive long term health benefits. For instance, a vegan prefers a diet entirely bereft of animal products. In his diet even milk has no place. However, this is not ‘dieting’ despite being a form of controlled and regulated food intake. The commonest objective of dieting is weight loss, and it is for this reason primarily that so many people around the globe practice it. To begin with, a weight loss program restricts the intake of certain specific foods in order to achieve reduction in body weight. Now, this has no general application, for no two human bodies are exactly alike. Therefore, if something works for one, it may not work for another at all. The difference basically lies in individual metabolisms and lifestyles. It has also been pointed out by many experts that short-term dieting may not lead to long term weight loss. In other words, if you practice weight loss today and manage shedding some weight, it is not necessarily a permanent weight loss. One has to keep working out and to keep one’s diet in check in order to keep the weight constantly under control or else the digits on your weighing scale might start piling once again bringing you to square one. The most prominent adverse aftereffect of dieting is the body’s going into famine mode wherein it starts stockpiling excessive fat, for it reads low food intake as a signal to start the process of self preservation. As a result, during the dieting period the weight sinks considerably, but the moment you start eating normal, the body starts storing food and the body weight shoots up. Therefore, for effective long term weight loss what is required is careful dieting coupled with regular exercise. Do not make dieting plan your starvation scheme for that wouldn’t work and would invariably do more harm than good. You, Your Cell Phone and Europe

Saturday, December 22nd, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=John_Dulaney]John Dulaney The European Union spreads out from the west coast of Ireland to the eastern borders of Latvia and from the Arctic Circle to the Mediterranean Sea. Travelling to Europe brings you the experience of a rich carpet of landscapes, flowing from the Rock Mountains to the grand beaches, through the green pasture and acrid land. While you travel through Europe, you will find the people with diverse traditions, cultures and languages, making up over 7% of the worlds population. The historic heritage of Europe is defined in its prehistoric cave paintings, in the ancient antiquities of the Greeks and the Romans, in varied architecture of the Vikings and Moors, palaces and baroque churches. You will also find the modern Europe with its vibrant cities, colourful cultural festivities, varied cuisines and winter and summer sports. The cell phone has become a part of your modern day life and where-ever you go, the cell phone in your hand makes you comfortable, knowing that you can be touch with the world at any time and at your will. Europe has GSM technology, a digital mobile communication technology, being used over 214 countries in the world, having more than 80% of the total mobile subscribers in the world. The tangle of mobile frequency bands prevailing in the world is comparable to the mixture of television standards that we have. But then again, at least there is one standard prevailing in one country which makes life easier. In the Unites States, there are dozens of such incompatible mobile frequency bands operating on different network. Even if you have a GSM handset, it is unlikely that it will work in Europe. Europe works on entirely different GSM network frequency bands. North America, Canada and a few other counties in the Americas, work on 850MHz and 1900MHz frequency bands, which have set those countries apart from rest of the world. The first ever digital mobile communication technology, which stormed the world, is the Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM). This open architecture technology was first started in Europe and is now prevalent in 214 countries in the world. It replaces the old analog version of mobile telephony and is called the second generation (2G) of the wireless mobile communication with Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) transmission technology. With this technology the voice is uniquely digitally coded by an encoder, which emulates the characteristics of a human voice. It features not only digital transmission of voice but offers General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), a mobile data service, offering up to 115 kilobits per second of data transfer rate. Amongst others, GPRS offers access to data networks like internet, through your mobile phone. GSM countries work on distributed four different set of frequency bands, with some counties operating on few common frequencies. These frequency bands are - 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz and 1900 MHz. While the GSM networks in North America and Canada and a few other countries near-by are operating on 850MHz and 1900MHz bands, the other countries in the world use entirely a different set of frequency bands, making the GSM phones in Americas incompatible with the communication system in major part of the world. Due to this incompatibility, mobile phones are available in three categories. The Quad-band phones would work on any GSM frequency and are compatible with all the four sets of GSM frequency bands. The Tri-bands support 800MHz, 900MHz and 1800MHz frequency bands, which work in most country networks, while the Dual-bands work on 800MHz and 1900 MHz GSM frequency bands. If you are travelling to Europe, you need to be aware of the network frequency bands of those European countries that you are visiting. There are continuous attempts to achieve world-wide phone standards which are being prevented by the competition between the technological companies and the political interests. These are an existing dispute with the United States and Europe, over a universal mobile telephony standard. While Europe has achieved quite a formidable standard in providing the world with GSM digital technology, the United States and Canada go on using a different technology using Time Division Multiplexing (TDMA) or Code Division Multiplexing (CDMA) transmission technologies, which are incompatible with GSM. Today, the Unites States is moving slowly towards GSM a service which is being provided by some of the companies like, Cingular and other vendors. The ideal solution for moving around with your mobile phone would be one phone, one number that would work anywhere in the world. A roaming status on your US mobile gives you that feature but there are other fall-outs to be considered. Roaming is a word used in wireless telecommunication, where, it refers to extending the connectivity services in a location different from home, and perhaps to a network owned by a different service provider. Roaming occurs when the subscriber of one service provider uses the facilities provided by another. This kind of service can be offered by the service providers entering into service agreements with the others, which include financial aspects also. When you are on roaming, the communication that you have is transmitted through the tower of a different service provider, owing to the arrangement that your service provider back home has with your current one. This involves financial aspects where this service provider charges your provider for the service that they provide you with. This is the reason why you are charged extra for the services that you use while on roaming. The charges may be a standing fee included in your monthly bill as long as you are roaming. Remembering that all incoming calls are free in Europe, while you roam, your outgoing call charges cost more with added roaming charges and your incoming calls are also charged since you are on a roaming status. These charges are levied owing to the financial arrangement that the two service providers have in entering into service agreements in providing you with the roaming feature. While roaming provides you with one phone and one number, the down-side of it is that it is expensive. There are many reasons why you should travel to Europe with a cell phone. Using the telephone in your hotel room might turn out to be an expensive matter and having a cell phone with you has not only the advantage that you may call your associates, your friends or your family back home, but also, you are within the reach of the ones who often call you for different purposes. You can have incoming calls coming in your handset no matter where you are. More-over, your cell phone becomes handy during emergencies. Cell phone plans are different in Europe than that what you have in the United States. For one, all incoming calls are free of charge. There are provisions to go in monthly paid services in some countries in Europe, but mostly the services taken up are the pre-paid ones, where you pay for your talk time credits in advance. As soon as you use up that credit, you can top up your talk time by buying recharge vouchers of different denominations. You will require buying a SIM card for such a plan. There are options available in the United States, where you can buy a SIM card for specific country that you are visiting and rent a compatible GSM mobile handset to go with it. This provides you with a local number and you pay for your call charges as the locals do. You do not receive any bill what-so-ever at the end of the month and you do not pay for any roaming charges. Specifically you do not have to enter into any contract in buying such a pre-paid SIM card. This saves you 80% of your call expenses and with pre-paying for your talk time you can keep a track of your expenses and remain within your budget. If you are travelling to an assorted number of countries in Europe, you have various options in buying an international SIM card and rent the appropriate GSM phone. The Talkabroad SIM card lets you have a single number where-ever you go and will let you make and receive calls. Talkabroad is far cheaper than your mobile on roaming. It offers a pre-paid SIM card which comes with a certain amount of talk time credit, which you can replenish by buying recharge coupons. These coupons are available in practically any shop in the country that you are visiting. The cost of the outgoing calls is a bit more expensive than the country specific SIM cards and incoming calls are free in all the Western European countries and nearly half a dozen countries of Eastern Europe. Talkabroad SIM card allows you to roam over 100 countries during a trip, where people can reach you on one phone number. The package offered by Talkabroad consists of a tri-band GSM mobile phone and a pre-paid SIM card with 30 minutes of talk time credit. Talkabroad is valid for 9 months from the time of your most recent use. The account may be kept alive by making a call, sending SMS message, or buying a recharge coupon at least every nine months. Mobal is a company based in the United Kingdom and offers SIM card which may be used in over 50 international locations. Mobal international is not a pre-paid service and is a pay-as-you-go service, where you receive bills, with the bill amount debited to your credit card. Mobal is cheaper than the charges that you pay to your US service provider, but the call charges are higher than the country specific pre-paid SIM cards. Mobal becomes feasible economically if used less than two hours or so, while you are travelling. If you anticipate heavy usage while travelling in countries outside the United States, a Hop SIM card may be an option for lower call charges. Mobal SIM card is available free of cost. The cell phone that you carry with you is required to be SIM unlocked, for only then you may use SIM cards of your choice. SIM locked phones are meant for the SIM card that it is meant for. SIM locked phones are usually available free of cost when you enter into a contract with a service provider, where a clause in the contract stipulates that you will be required to use the services of that particular service provider for a specific period of time, which is typically one year. The mobile phone that you receive from them will only work with the SIM card that you had received from the same service provider. Therefore, whether you take your own GSM phone, rent or buy one, you need to make sure that the cell phone is SIM unlocked. Careful planning of your visit to Europe will provide you greater savings in your mobile communication while you are abroad. The planning would provide you with the idea of that SIM card that you need to buy, so as to give you an optimum saving in your cell phone usage.
